Hard Rock Cafe Athens Introduces Locally Created Athens Burger in Company’s World Burger Tour Competition
New item developed by local team member available for limited time only in Athens, vying for a permanent place on Hard Rock Cafe’s global menu
Starting from April 22nd, Hard Rock Café Athens has thrown its locally developed Athena Burger into the ring for the return of the Hard Rock World Burger Tour competition, where Cafes around the world compete to have their special new burgers added to the menu. The delicious Athena Burger featuring arugula, olive oil, tomato chutney, spicy feta cheese sauce and cucumber, is available for a limited time only at Athens, and based on its popularity with guests, has the chance to make it to stardom with a permanent place on the global Hard Rock Cafe burger menu.
Back by popular demand, the Hard Rock Cafe World Burger Tour encourages local Cafe team members to show off their creativity and culinary skills by submitting unique burger recipes that elevate the classic, fan-favorite meal.
Hard Rock Cafe Athens team was inspired by the ancient Greek mythology, from the goddess Athena, who was the protector of Athens city. The goddess offered to the citizens of the city an olive tree when she won the battle with the other gods and in return to honor her, the city was named Athens.
“As a global brand, we draw inspiration from the communities, music, entertainment fans and travelers we serve to create truly memorable experiences at each of our locations, from our curated memorabilia collection to our Cafe menus,” said Elena Alvarez, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships at Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International. "By providing our incredible local team members the platform to share their tastes and creativity in the kitchen, we’re bringing delicious one-of-a-kind burgers from around the world to Hard Rock and burger fans alike so they can help us pick our World Burger Tour champion.”
It is really exciting to offer the Athena Burger to our guests as they will have the chance to taste a “divine” burger and support Hard Rock Café Athens team to secure a spot in Hard Rock World Burger Tour final! Come and join us at 52 Adrianou Street in Monastiraki to try it!
