6th European Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (ECBIP 2021) by CONVIN

Recently the 6th European Conference on Bronchology and Invasive Pulmonology (ECBIP) was hosted in Athens. The conference was organized by CONVIN and it took place during 15-17 October 2021 at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre International It was the first international conference on Interventional Pulmonology in the post-COVID era with 600 hundred physical and virtual participants.

The conference was supported in a hybrid format, i.e., both in-person and distance participation, thanks to the specifically designed platform provided by CONVIN, which simulates perfectly the experience of an international conference. The opening of the Conference was welcomed by the Rector of National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor A.M. Dimopoulos and the President of the Hellenic Pulmonary Society Professor St. Loukidis, giving the overall tone of the importance of the event for the academic and medical community, at a time when health protocols for the prevention of lung diseases are in the forefront of everyone's daily routine.

The successful organization of the conference gave new momentum to continuing medical education as it was the first significant international meeting with the possibility of physical presence in the scientific field of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology after the pandemic.
