Engaging at IBTM World 2024
As a hosted buyer with the IAPCO group, our colleague, Chara Theodosi, represented AFEA Congress at the IBTM World 2024. This global exhibition champions the meetings industry by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas among professionals worldwide. Its multicultural character brings together professionals from across the globe, celebrating the essence of #PeoplePowerPotential. 

This global exhibition gave its participants the opportunity to engage with top-tier suppliers and professionals, strengthening relationships and acquiring invaluable insights. These interactions show the dedication of AFEA Congress to remain at the forefront of industry advancements and trends.

Contributing to the 63rd ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi
The international meetings industry came together at the 63rd ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi, and under the theme "Tomorrow Starts Today", the event emphasized sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration. 

AFEA Congress was represented by our Vice President and CEO, Dimitra Lignou at this global event, that attracted a record-breaking 1,563 delegates from 76 countries, featuring 176 speakers and 93 sessions, making it ICCA’s largest congress to date. The main take away from the congress was the innovative space set up, introduced as "The Hub," based on 4 main content pillars, whereas additional features included the real-time session feedback through AI technology, setting a new standard for interactive, knowledge-driven events. Some more memorable moments were the hands-on CSR activities through “The gift of Love” and of course the incredible “Challenge Night” at the Abu Dhabi Warner Bros World Theme Park. 
The congress provided a platform to connect with existing and new members of the ICCA Mediterranean Chapter and reunite with longstanding colleagues, fostering relationships that are essential for the continued growth and success of our industry.
