AFEA: "Embarking on a Journey of Professional Growth at the IAPCO EDGE Seminar in Antwerp"

AFEA team recently had the privilege of immersing themselves in the vibrant city of Antwerp, Belgium, where they participated in the renowned IAPCO EDGE Antwerp seminar from January 16th to 18th, 2024. This premier educational event in the Meetings Industry provided a platform for our CEO, Sissi Lygnou, who represented AFEA as a distinguished member of the IAPCO Faculty Nicky McGrane, CEO Conference Partners International and Mathias Posch, President ICS. Meanwhile, our dedicated Project Coordinator, Eva Βirmpilopoulou, attended as a delegate, gaining invaluable insights, knowledge, and establishing connections with key opinion leaders and industry experts while also showcasing an active participation in the seminar's working groups.

The seminar, themed "The Legacy of Conferences," offered a dynamic educational program with lectures and hands-on workshops. Hosted in collaboration with Visit Flanders & Visit Antwerp Convention Bureau, the event aligns with the destination's commitment to creating a positive impact at events in the region. 

Beyond the enriching educational content, participants experienced the warmth of Antwerp's hospitality at iconic venues, fostering connections and sharing experiences with colleagues from around the globe. The transformative experience was designed to elevate expertise, empowering professionals with the tools needed to excel in the global events industry.

The seminar also featured the Bruges Inspiration Visit, a post-event excursion offering unique opportunities to explore conference and heritage venues, engage in inspirational meetings, and indulge in culinary delights.
