“Searching for Homer” audio tour in collaboration with Chios Regional Unit Tourism Department
In collaboration with the Chios Regional Unit Tourism Department, we created and launched a self-guided audio tour for the island of Chios. Based on the testimonies of ancient authors and European travelers, as well as archaeological finds and traditions, “Searching for Homer” tour examines and unravels that Chios is the birthplace of Homer. The tour consists of 2 parts, 13 points of interest and 40 stories in English and Greek. “We reached Clio Muse Tours for collaboration due to its specialization as a platform and an app for digital themed tours and for its methodology. We found it a perfect match for the type of tour we had in mind,” said Maria Kova and Eleni Kostala of the Chios Regional Unit Tourism Department.
“Marathon dam: Life at the settlement” self-guided audio tour for EYDAP
In collaboration with EYDAP, we created the “Marathon dam: Life at the settlement” self-guided audio tour, which narrates the story of the Marathon settlement where over 1000 workers and their families lived. Being the largest Greek company in the water supply, sewerage and waste treatment, EYDAP has a great history. Its rich Ηistorical archive includes among others, 2.530 photographs, negatives and 2.600 technical design documents and recordings of the construction between 1926-1931 that bear witness to its past. EYDAP in collaboration with Clio Muse Tours used these preserved materials for the development of 75 stories that guide visitors to the remaining houses of the historic settlement while also narrating the story of this significant engineering work.
Partnership with the Photography Museum "Christos Kalemkeris" of the Municipality of Kalamaria
We are excited about our recent collaboration with the award-winning Photography Museum "Christos Kalemkeris" of the Municipality of Kalamaria. “Clio Muse Tours was chosen to start with this versatile but unique project, as a result of its company's credibility, the personal relationship with their customers, its task efficiency and their corporate identity for staying loyal to the purposes of cultural heritage and tourism using effective technology and extroversion tools,” says Pavlos Kalemkeris. For this project, Clio Muse Tours will develop an interactive map with 360° view as well as curate the visual and written content of the self-guided audio tour which will be available on the Clio Muse Tours platform. A digital chronological timeline for the Public Historical Library of Andritsaina
Our partnership with the Public Historical Library of Andritsaina started in 2019 with the creation of a self-guided audio tour, which presents selected objects of the library’s valuable collection. In 2020 we renewed our collaboration for a different type of project that in combination with the audio tour offers visitors a complete digital experience. We designed and developed a digital chronological timeline that includes facts about rare publications of notable Greek authors and unravels the story of the composition of the library’s collection with material that was transferred from Paris and other European countries. We’re proud to have played a vital role in the library’s vision to gain visibility and connect with a worldwide community providing people from all over the world the opportunity to explore this historic library either from home or on-site.
