CONVIN SA organized the ISWC 2023 international conference with great success

The ISWC 2023 international conference held at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center and organized by CONVIN SA (PCO) was completed with great success. The Semantic Web, Linked Data and Knowledge Graphs community analyzed all technological developments and discussed the prospects of Semantic Technologies in synergy with Deep Learning and the popular today Large Language Models such as ChatGPT. More than 400 delegates, distinguished members of the community from all over the world, honored with their presence the event, which for the first time since the pandemic was held exclusively in person only. 

ISWC 2023 was a common meeting place for researchers, professionals, and industry experts in the light of promoting and shaping the future of semantic technologies and their applications of the broader research area of Artificial Intelligence. 

Developments in the Semantic Web community are accompanied by parallel developments in Deep Machine Learning that have created new possibilities for combining semantic methods with neural networks and the emergence of the research area of Neurosymbolic Artificial Intelligence. At the present juncture the fact that the Semantic Web can be combined with Machine Learning acquires particular weight considering that the entire field of Machine Learning (and Artificial Intelligence in general) is going through a period of renaissance. 

A particular subject of analysis and discussion were the benefits that computer technology can provide to applications that affect the functionality of businesses and society. The evolution of technology and particularly techniques such as Knowledge Graphs and Large Linguistic Models can offer new important perspectives in applications that are used in everyday life and affect the orderly functioning of social becoming. 

ISWC 2023 provided inspiration and motivation for dynamic perspectives and developments in the field of Semantic Web, Linked Data and Knowledge Graphs in conjunction with the ever-growing field of Deep Machine Learning.
