CONVIN takes action to protect the environment
CONVIN implements a 100% Green Policy
Staying firm to its core values and the belief that every business must implement sustainability policies, CONVIN has signed a cooperation agreement with a specialized carbon measurement and neutralization company to maximize 100% of all "green policy" actions. The new sustainable policy framework will be applied to all aspects of the company's own operations as well as to all the conferences it organizes.
All together for the environment at the International Conference Cities on Volcanoes 11
CONVIN organized an act of love for the environment and the society in the context of Social Responsibility of the COV11 International Conference held in Heraklion, Crete. On Sunday, June 12, all participants met at the 1st Outpost of Keris Forest to participate in the cleaning action implemented under the auspices of the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Malevizio, which offered all the required cleaning materials. The Civil Protection and the volunteer groups that are active in the specific area participated and the Armed Forces Reserve Club, the Hellenic Red Cross and the Hellenic Rescue Team.
At the same time, the participants were informed about the way in which the process of guarding and monitoring the forest is carried out during the firefighting season as a part of preparation for the management of natural disasters. A small-scale sample that accurately captures the requirements of a large-scale project.
The activity was attended by delegates such as researchers at NASA. A member of the New Zealand Civil Protection who participated presented the Greek representative with Stan, their club's mascot.
Through an international conference a strong and clear message was sent. Prevention is the best policy.
