Celebrating Excellence: ERASMUS Shares Highlights from Their Successful Conferences
ERASMUS is delighted to share the highlights of their recent conferences held in the vibrant city of Athens. The events were marked by exceptional engagement, drawing professionals and experts from diverse fields.
1. ΙΘ' International Congress on Rheology (ICR2023)
The ΙΘ' International Congress on Rheology (ICR2023), was held at the prestigious Hotel Athenaeum Intercontinental in Athens, from July 29th to August 4th, 2023. This extraordinary event was a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Hellenic and Israeli Societies of Rheology, in conjunction with the Hellenic Polymer Society and the Israeli Polymer and Plastics Society. Moreover, the conference was conducted under the auspices of the International Committee on Rheology and the European Society of Rheology and with the official support of the City of Athens – This is Athens.
With the participation of 900 attendees from 37 countries, the conference indisputably met its goal of uniting the worldwide rheology community. A total of 567 oral presentations, accompanied by 280 poster presentations, further underscored the event's significance as a platform for sharing cutting-edge research. This engaging format allowed attendees to delve into a multitude of subjects, ranging from theoretical advancements to practical applications.
The participants also had the opportunity to participate in a number of social activities. With a welcoming reception, an evening guided tour in the Acropolis Museum followed by a pleasant walk-through of historical city landmarks to a wonderful Evening Reception at the Athens Lawn Tennis Club, and picturesque excursions, attendees enjoyed an unforgettable blend of professional and personal interactions. The banquet dinner in coastal Athens, under the stars, capped off the event, leaving lasting memories of a congress that transcended expectations and embraced the essence of Athens.
2. IFFS World Congress (IFFS 2023)
The 2023 International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS 2023) World Congress was held from September 10-13, 2023, at the Megaron International Conference Centre in Athens. Organized with meticulous planning and dedication by the team of Erasmus Conferences & Events S.A. the event unfolded under the theme "Exploring New Horizons in Fertility Care."
The event featured various stimulating activities, including keynote lectures, insightful panel discussions, and the society’s signature trilogy sessions, all of which delved deeply into the realm of innovations in male and female infertility. A total of 27 oral presentations, 19 Member Society Symposia sessions, and 310 abstracts from 42 different countries enriched the scientific discourse, reflecting the global diversity of our participants.
With a remarkable attendance of 600 participants from 71 different countries, the congress fostered international collaboration and knowledge exchange. Noteworthy were the 5 Great Debates, 3 Endowed lectures, and 2 American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) hands-on sessions, each addressed to a small group of participants, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience.
Moreover, the academic pursuits extended beyond the main event, with 5 pre-congress courses hosted at the Divani Caravel Hotel.
As part of its Professional Congress Organizing services, Erasmus S.A. orchestrated a comprehensive social media campaign for the IFFS World Congress, spanning LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram which effectively facilitated successful multi-level communication for the event.
