Hilton Athens presents: A photo exhibition by renowned Greek art curator Katerina Koskina
Hilton Athens presents an interesting photo exhibition in Aethrion Lounge by renowned Greek art curator Katerina Koskina.
Through a series of photographic documents and snapshots, this exhibition brings back the history of the birth and the life of a hotel which, although has been part of an American hotel chain and has functioned as a window to the world, remains an inseparable part of the history of modern Greece.
The entrance is free of charge while, at the same time, Hilton Athens is offering guided tours to the hotel’s art collection. Apart from the works of Yiannis Moralis and Eleni Vernardaki, two of the most important Greek artists who put their mark since the opening of the hotel, Hilton Athens features an important collection of artworks by Greek contemporary artists, such as George Zongolopoulos, Chryssa, George Lappas, Aphrodite Liti, Pavlos and Theodore Stamos. The works have been selected and placed in various hotel locations by Katerina Koskina in 2003 during the thorough renovation of the hotel.
The art tour lasts 1 hour and is available by appointment. For more information and reservations, please call 0030 210 7281000.
