Metropolitan DMC: Murder on the Orient Express event
At Metropolitan DMC we pride ourselves on sourcing innovative and creative ways to provide our guests with experiences to be remembered.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, but memories last forever!
One such event was the “Special Corporate Anniversary Dinner”. That was our cue from the client, and we took off from there!
A hidden jewel (we’re pros at finding those 😊) is the Orient Express carriage. Yes! We have an original carriage right here in Athens!
Inspired by Geroges Nagelmacker’s passion to connect Paris with Constantinople via luxury train, the Orient Express was born in 1883 and is also known as “The King of the Trains”. Built with the highest of standards and luxury of its time, the Orient Express was reserved for the highly ranked people of its era. Emperors, Kings, princes, bankers, spies, and aristocrats were amongst its VIP guests – lending to its international and cosmopolitan vibe.
Our goal? To make our guests feel like VIPs of the 19th Century!
In keeping with the era, guests were picked up at their hotel by vintage cars and welcomed into the wagon bar in style.
“The impossible could not have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances.” Hercule Poirot – Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie.
Guests were presented with a Murder Mystery scenario – Let the fun begin! Professional actors alongside Metropolitan DMC staff lent to the smooth running of this exceptional night.
We took the history, the mystery, the fine dining, the jazz, the grandeur and created a bespoke [fun!] memorable event for our clients.
