This is Athens-CVB: Opening doors to the North American market 

As part of its follow-up to the IMEX events in Frankfurt, the This is Athens-CVB brought eight MICE buyers from North America and a representative of North Star Media to experience first-hand some of the new and best in Athens. The group included meeting and event organisers as well as association representatives planning events worldwide. 

The two-day FAM trip was conducted with the support of Greece’s National carrier Aegean Airlines as official travel sponsor. 

This is Athens-CVB Member, the Athenaeum InterContinental Athens Hotel was the official accommodation venue of the FAM trip. 

The FAM trip is part of the long-term strategy developed by the City of Athens to expand connections between Athenian businesses and the North American market. The strategic plan includes bidding for conferences and corporate events, targeted promotional campaigns, and establishing new partnerships that will further boost the position of Athens on the MICE map.
