Claudia Comte: The Origin Of The Shockwave Ripple Effect (Yellow and Turquoise)
The National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens is celebrating women's art this season with a series of group and solo exhibitions honouring pioneering female artists.
Discover Claudia Comte's latest artwork The Origin of the Shockwave Ripple Effect (yellow and turquoise), which will be unveiled at EMST. Showcasing Comte's unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, this stunning 30-metre mural seamlessly connects the museum's central space with the entrance foyer. Known for her captivating in-situ installations and paintings inspired by the intricate patterns of nature, Comte's work takes the viewer on a fascinating visual adventure. Now, she invites us to discover the dynamic interplay between art, nature and architecture in a world where vibrant colours dance in harmony with organic forms.
Even though the exhibition runs until the early days of next year, you may want to catch it on the opening day on March 8th. In celebrating International Women's Day, Spanish dancer Andrea Tortosa Vidal will perform Comte's How to Grow and Still Stay the Same Shape. On the same day, and in front of Comte's installation, Jeanna Criscitiello will perform her piece ...and then there was EVE.
