Alex Mylona: Fulfillment
Conceived and implemented in the 1950s the sculptural/architectural propositions of Alex Mylona, a progressive female Greek sculptor who has worked with many media, found their way to the annual Esplanade display of the SNFCC, as part of a collaboration with the National Gallery. The exhibition titled Fulfillment - Whatever does not become a monument becomes an object or component was curated by art historian and director of the National Gallery, Syrago Tsiara. The exhibition helps us consider how contemporary art in a public space can become a platform for learning, interaction and dialogue. It is also a fantastic chance to explore the gloriously landscaped outdoor space of the SNCCF enjoying the blend of art, nature, and architecture. As a bonus, and in the context of the exhibition, the SNFCC offers sculpture workshops throughout the summer on the Esplanade.
