Athens International Children's Film Festival
If you’re visiting Athens with little ones, it’s inevitable that sooner or later they’re going to get "all walked-out”. Treat them—and yourself—to some colourful downtime at this rich international movie festival that caters to small humans of all ages and stages. There’s everything from Crybaby Matinees (catch Downton Abbey with fellow parents in a non-judgy environment) and Baby & Me sessions (infants can crawl and play in a soft-surface space with dialogue-free screenings), to Sundance hits like Eighth Grade and short-films for tweens and teens on hot topics including social media, gaming and gender conformity. The screenings will take place at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall and Danaos Cinema in Ambelokipi. Highly-recommended comes animated feature Racetime by Canadian director Benoit Godbout, which will screen at the Megaron on the Sunday at 1.30pm.
