Kypseli Municipal Market
The Kypseli Municipal Market is one of the neighbourhood’s oldest historical landmarks. It was built as a food market in 1935 following the principles of modernism, although neoclassical elements were later added. It operated continuously until 2003, taking the load off the shoulders of the Central Food Market on Athinas Street. During the last decade, it has undergone a series of renovations, the last of which took place in 2023. The listed building is now a lively hub for social enterprises, start-ups, workshops, bazaars and all sorts of events.
