Cordelia Madden Kanellopoulou
Having lived in Moscow, Belgrade, Oxford and Nicosia, Cordelia Madden-Kanellopoulou moved to Athens before the 2004 Olympics—and stayed. Beyond the clichés of love and sunlight, food, wine and majestic scenery, it’s been an intriguing time of cultural and infrastructural change in Greece, and Athens in particular. Cordelia works as a freelance journalist and copy editor. She has written for publications including Marie Claire Australia and the South China Morning Post, as well as Time Out and Dorling Kindersley guidebooks to Athens. She is a co-founder of the charity Nine Lives Greece, helping street cats in Athens through vet care, neutering and adoption.
