2024 FIRST Global Challenge: Students from 190 Countries to Unite in Athens for Robotics Tournament
FIRST Global, the world’s largest annual robotics challenge is coming to Athens, Greece, 26 - 29 September 2024! Teams from over 190 countries will come to Athens for four days of international collaboration and robotics competition.
The Opening Ceremony is taking place on September 26th at the Panathenaic Stadium. Featuring a special performance by international music stars Black Eyed Peas, the event will also include a Parade of Nations featuring teams from over 190 countries, speeches from FIRST Global Founder Dean Kamen and the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Konstantinos Kyranakis, as well as a cultural performance by the ΑΣ ΠΡΩΤΟΠΟΡΙΑ dance group. All members of the public are welcome to attend. Tickets are free and seating will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
From 27-29 September, the event will then move to the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus for three days of robotics competition. Here, teams from across the world will collaborate and compete in a robotics competition focused on the theme “Feeding the Future.” Witness the next generation of innovators as they tackle global challenges in sustainability and technology, driving solutions that will help feed the future!
