AGON: 11th International Archaeological Film Festival "Ecumenical Community"
We would be lying if we said we don't feel proud for the abundance of archaeological findings in Athens. All Greeks are schooled to be intrigued by archaeology and excavations, all over the globe. This is Athens City Festival embraces this year's eminent International Archaeological Film Festival, and invites us all to explore “Antiquity, Middle Ages, folk arts, traditions, industrial archeology and cultural heritage” beyond the Greek borders with a screening at the Greek Film Archive. This year's theme "Ecumenical Community" is inspired by (and dedicated to) world-acclaimed composer Mikis Theodorakis, who recently passed away, and his work often focused on the universality of man.
