Name a Detroit-raised artist with rapid-fire rapping skills. A decade ago the only answer would have been Eminem, but nowadays there's a new kid on the block. Angel Haze is slowly but steadily becoming a force to be reckoned with in the rap world. With her own mix of hip-hop and pop music, the thirtysomething rapper, delivers solid, real rhymes on themes not usually touched upon by rappers, such as self-harm and sexual abuse, while at the same time celebrating her blackness and embracing her traumatic childhood.
