Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos

It was 1996 when Apocalyptica introduced the broader audience to symphonic metal with their Plays Metallica by Four Cellos LP. What started out as a hesitant experiment between the Finnish band and a record label employee that had heard them perform some Metallica songs, ended up selling millions of copies worldwide and even making Metallica themselves record their famous S&M album with an orchestra three years later.
