The Athens City Festival, the biggest annual spring festival of Athens is back! Athens City Festival will take place throughout the whole of May (yes, you got that right, a 31-day-long festival) with free entrance* events happening all around the city. Consisting of four main pillars—Exhibitions, Gastro-Culture, Entertainment, and Outdoor Athens—the festival aims to showcase both the essential and the understated traits of our unconventional city, offering visitors a first-hand experience of the Athens way of living life. This year ACF includes more than 120 events catering to all tastes, types and ages, making May the ideal season to pay a visit to our side of the Mediterranean. As titles go, "Varvakios - The Party" sounds a bit cryptic. However, anyone who was present at last year's fiesta at the Athens Central Food Market, knows better. More than 6,000 people attended what was surely the city's biggest party of the season. Last year's highlight event returns this May for an encore. Names of the DJS who will be performing have yet to be announced (we'll be keeping you posted on that front,) but trust us when we say, it makes no difference. Take it from us and if you're in town, follow the sound of the partying crowds and don’t miss out on an unforgettable evening at an Athenian landmark.
