Athens Digital Arts Festival 2022: FutuRetro
NFTs, superintelligence, 3D bioprinting, mind uploading, singularity, transhumanism. Take a breather, we got your back. Actually, it's more like Athens Digital Arts Festival has all our backs. This riveting international festival about all things digital celebrates its 18th birthday this year and takes a look at the future, through the past. FutuRetro is the wordplay of choice and the theme is science fiction and futurology.
To put it simply, to celebrate its adulthood, ADAF will take a look at how far we've come, the milestones we have hit and separate the past that has become present from the past that will (possibly) be our future. Are you with us?
The festival's physical edition will take place in late May (there's also the online edition taking place later in the year, so heads up) at the marvellous Kotzia Square and the neighbouring notoshome building complex. No official programme has been announced yet, but rumour has it that the ADAF HQ has been flooded with creative submissions, and there's also a debut of the ADAF Music category. More info to be announced, so watch this space.
