Bérénice
On the rare occasion when masters of their crafts come together for a production, the result is sure to be nothing less than magnificent. In this performance, the renowned Italian director Romeo Castellucci takes on one of the most groundbreaking texts in Western literature. Racine’s Bérénice is reimagined, with Isabelle Huppert embodying the character in a way we've never seen before. The wounded heroine is stripped of her royalty, and 14 men make decisions on her behalf. Bérénice becomes a manifesto of love within the stunning theatrical world created by Castellucci, with brilliant costumes designed by acclaimed Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen and an original score by Scott Gibbons. Stegi strikes again with a performance that is the manifestation of theatrical dreams brought to life.
