Beyond Borders Τravels to Athens

As Beyond Borders - International Documentary Festival of Kastellorizo is gearing up for its 9th edition, the award-winning documentaries from last year’s edition will be hitting the Athenian screens at the Greek Film Archive in the vibrant Gazi neighbourhood.

Buckle up for a cinematic world tour as these films hail from all corners of the globe. Last August, they impressed audiences with their fresh take on lesser-known aspects of history, social sensitivity, out-of-the-box ideas and sheer artistic brilliance.

And there's more. Next to the screenings, the festival will spice things up with Q&A sessions and masterclasses. Moderating the masterclasses are multi-talented Canadian filmmaker Jordan Paterson, and President of the French Ecrans des Mondes, Director of International Development of Beyond Borders and the brains behind Grecdoc, Michel Noll. Topics of discussion include artificial intelligence and innovation, global networking, and the evolution of film festivals, as well as burning issues like the legal obligations of documentaries on the global stage and the ideological framework of directors, whether they're explicit or implicit.
