Bouchra Khalili: Lanternists and Typographers
The National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens is celebrating women's art this season with a series of group and solo exhibitions honouring pioneering female artists.
Renowned French-Moroccan artist, Bouchra Khalili, is making her debut solo exhibition in Greece with Lanternists and Typographers. This exciting exhibit features three captivating pieces: The Magic Lantern Project (2019–2022), The Typographer (2019), and The Radical Ally (2019). Khalili's diverse work spans video art, photography, printmaking, installation, as well as textiles, and uses these media to give voice to marginalised communities. Her art weaves together personal and collective histories, memories, and the essence of community, offering an engaging experience.
