Childrens' Imagination as an Antidote to Confinement
There’s nothing like the imagination of a child to transport us outside of our own rigid filters. What happens when you give young minds unlimited artistic range to express anything that catches their attention? During lockdown, the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation decided to find out; inviting children everywhere to break the boredom of home confinement by painting up a storm. Their plan was to create a digital gallery that took us on a no-boundaries journey through the imaginations of children, as well as a valuable keyhole into their own experiences of social distancing. The results of We Create From Home were so amazing that the Pangrati museum is now hosting the artworks on the walls of their temporary exhibition space. You have until the end of September to go see this uplifting display, but worry not if you can’t make it. You can still catch them all on-line here.
