Cole Porter: So in Love
Still haven't figured out your Valentine's plans for this year? How about a dose of Parisian romance in Athens? The Athens Concert Hall is calling for a night dedicated to Cole Porter and some of the greatest American musicals. The evening will be inspired by a 1958 recording of Cesare Siepi singing the timeless melodies of Porter. What's with the Parisian dose, you ask? Well, Porter lived most of his life in Paris and his music carries a strong French touch. What is considered to be a “classic musical” of the 1920s and 1930s is now on stage with Christophoros Stamboglis and the ERT National Symphony Orchestra.
