Comicdom CON Athens 2022

Greece’s longest-running comics festival is back with a three-day celebration of everything related to the ninth art. Comicdom CON returns both to the Hellenic American Union and to Klafthmonos Square with several workshops, exhibitions, screenings, special guests, and of course, the artists’ market. As always, all events are free entrance.

DC Comics giants meet self-published indie gems at Klafthmonos Square. Stroll through, mingle, and discover your next two-dimensional crush. Definitely go for that autographed issue while you’re a few feet away from your favourite author. Riding the current wave of international appetite for comics culture, many Greek publications now go straight to English (or both languages), so language will not be a barrier for both locals and visitors.

Lots of surprises will be announced regarding this year’s special focus, Wonder Woman, the star-clad superheroine and symbol of female empowerment.

The Hellenic American Union is where the cosplay competition will take place. Measure up against your fellow pop-culture geeks and channel your inner Astro Boy or Jinx for show. The convention hosts famous comic stars every year, with former guests including mammoths like Milo Manara, and David Lloyd of V for Vendetta fame, so watch this space for more updates.
