In an Athenian season filled with commemorative events, this exhibition, presented in the grand Former Public Tobacco Factory, marks the 50th anniversary of the coup and the Turkish invasion of 1974. It unfolds a historical timeline that guides visitors through the complex history of Cyprus. Life before and after 1974, the coup, the invasion, the displacement and missing persons all come into perspective through a remarkable collection of exhibits, including images of the Cypriot landscape, photographs, official documents, books, posters, stamps, artefacts, heirlooms, artworks, cinematic representations, and testimonies from those who experienced the events.
