Day Full of Dancing
The second annual Day Full of Dancing is coming to Pireos 260 July 8. It's a day full of events that will appeal to all ages and dance skill levels, so make sure to check out the schedule to find one that will work best for you.
11:00-12:30: Dancing Dragons, led by dancer/choreographer and kung fu trainer Ioanna Toumpakari. This session is for kids from 6-12 years old, and Toumpakari will teach participants basic concepts of contemporary dance and kung fu.
13:00-15:30: Infinite Potentials: Choreographic Traces is an open workshop led by dance and performance researchers Elena Novakovic and Rodia Vomvolou; participants will learn about choreographic practices.
17:00-18:30: This African dance session is for people with and without disabilities; dancer-choreographer Stella Spyrou will be leading it.
19:00-21:00: Dancers from the Italian Fondazione Nazionale della Danza, as well as the Aterballetto, will perform and then speak to the audience.
21:30-22:30: The day's final session will allow participants to meet prominent local choreographers, including Anastasia Valsamaki, Vitoria Kotsalou and Kostas Tsioukas.
