Eye Witness: Yannis Behrakis
If there was an event that made contemporary history over the past three decades, chances are that Yannis Behrakis was fearlessly at the frontline. In a gripping tribute to the award-winning Greek photojournalist who died in March this year, the National Library of Greece will be displaying a collection of 70 of Behrakis’ fiercest and most influential images—spanning his career until the migrant crisis of 2015, which earned him and his Reuters’ team a Pulitzer prize. You can also check out screenings of Behrakis' best speeches and interviews reflecting on photography and the world we live in.
