FIRST Global Opening Ceremony with Black Eyed Peas
Looking for something epic to do in Athens this September? Mark your calendars for the 26th and head to the Panathenaic Stadium for the FIRST Global Opening Ceremony, as the world’s largest annual robotics challenge lands in Athens for the first time. And yes, the Black Eyed Peas will be performing live! Think Transformers meets the Olympics (at their home turf), with teams from over 190 countries, a Parade of Nations, and a vibrant mix of music, culture, and future tech.
This year’s theme is “Feeding the Future,” challenging participants to design and build a robot from a standard kit of parts, with a mind to address global food sustainability issues. While the opening spectacle is happening at the historic Kallimarmaro, the robotics competition is taking place at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus from September 27-29. Don’t miss your chance to witness the next generation of innovators tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
