K.N Patsios: The Garden of Promises and Lies

We can hardly think of a more perfect sentence than "a climate of chaos wrapped in rocker-chic" to describe Athens, so we'll gladly borrow it from the manifesto of Mona, the event's host. Τhe collage artist is amongst the guests of the Blender Gallery's #TheBlenderGalleryTakeOver project that aims to connect the southern suburbs—home to Blender's HQ—with downtown Athens. In the occasion of the art space's 10th anniversary, the Mona Boutique Hotel, a long abandoned former weaving factory in Psirri, is hosting the project's first chapter, the pop-up exhibition The Garden of Promises and Lies, where design, pop culture and history cross paths in Patsios' humorous technique. And this space which weaves together elements of abandonment and glamour sounds like the ideal ground for this artist’s work.
