If Music be the Food of Love, Play on
From symphonic masterpieces to operas, art songs and theatre music, the enchanting ties between the timeless works of William Shakespeare and the captivating realm of French Romanticism have inspired a wide range of compositions. At the Olympia Municipal Theatre, the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra brings this intersection of literature and music to life. Acclaimed soprano Christina Poulitsi, conducted by Byron Fidetzis, will perform selected masterpieces that derive from Shakespeare's plays such as Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.
