Irish Stand-Up Comedy
So, three Irish comedians walk into a bar. No, it’s not the start of a joke. It’s the beginnings of a cracking night out when stand-up trio from Ireland Rory O’Hanlon, Peter Flanagan and Niahm Marron seize the mic at the bawdy Faust theatre-bar in Monastiraki. Actually, you’ll have two shots at seeing these visiting funny folk. They’ve been brought out to Athens for two evening performances by the Greek Irish Society and supported by the Embassy of Ireland. All three comics are firm fixtures on the comedy club circuit across the UK and Ireland; and multi-award-winning Marron has also appeared on the BBC and played some pretty big gigs at venues like Scotland’s SEC Arena and the Garrick Theatre in London too. So a roomful of Greeks shouldn’t trouble them too much.
