Janus Rasmussen DJ Set

Do you have a favourite band or artist that you feel is taking their sweet time releasing new material? Fans of melodic electronica would probably include Kiasmos among the answers to this question. The Icelandic duo of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen have one album release in their discography, the exquisite and modern classic titular album of 2014, but sadly nothing else. As solo artists, they have been somewhat more productive, especially Arnalds, who has graced Athens with his presence on more than one occasion.

Rasmussen, on the other hand, remains somewhat under the radar, despite his excellent 2019 album 'Vin'. This is about to change, at least for the Athens crowd. Janus Rasmussen is the first guest of Athens' freshest event organiser, Postbloo. The electronic music producer and DJ will take over the decks at Arch Club in the Gazi district for his first ever performance in Greece. Rasmussen's solo work tends towards dark, minimal techno and electronica that carries emotional, warm melodies, a sound ideal for both cerebral and dancefloor manoeuvres. We’re looking forward to seeing what he sounds like as a DJ.

Rising Swiss DJ Natascha Polké takes on the support act and local heroes Fading Soul and Jay Jay will open and close one of the first very promising parties of the new year.
