The Lullaby Project: Dreams Filled with Music and Love
Lullabies. From traditional ones to… Baby Shark (you never know what will work with kids). These are not just songs that lull our little angels to sleep, but also melodies that comfort, soothe and build trust between parents and children. The Lullaby Project returns to SNFCC for its fifth iteration with eight musical stories that embrace families of all shapes and sizes: single-parent families, families with adopted children, same-sex parenting, children raised by a larger community, and offspring of incarcerated parents. A collaboration between Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute (NYC) and El Sistema Greece, the Lullaby Project brings in renowned Greek composers and songwriters who take on the task to create lullabies for the modern age.
Entrance is free but do sign up in advance. And, if you think the event will run past bedtime, you can tune in to the livestream instead and watch from the comfort of your home.
