Max Cooper - Yearning for the Infinite
Electronica and techno producer Max Cooper is nothing if not an avid experimenter. His creative process is strongly influenced by his science background—he holds a Ph.D. in computational biology. He loves to tackle the evolution and change of daily life, as well as man's relation to technology and the desire to obtain the unobtainable. The latter is the theme of his latest work, Yearning for the Infinite, that was commissioned by the Barbican. With his trademark immersive harmonies, Cooper attempts to describe the feeling of getting lost in our era of endless information, as we futilely try to manage it all. Add abstract, multi-surface projections amongst human stories of endless pursuit and you get Cooper's most generous work to date.
