The Meet Market - 10 Days of Christmas

“First we meet, then we market” — that’s been the Meet Market motto for 15 years now. The Christmas edition of Athens’ trademark shopping-meets-pleasure fair has become one of our favourite annual festive traditions. Meet Market celebrates its 15th year anniversary with a gathering of more than 150 local small businesses and creators at the Old Train Depot in Kerameikos. There will be two line-ups of creators, the first one running from the 9th to the 11th and the second from the 12th to the 18th of December—all the more reason to visit at least twice. Expect handmade and second-hand clothes, accessories, handcrafted ornaments, organic body products, homeware, vintage and retro collectibles, and records. 

But, there’s not just shopping on the agenda. Non-stop DJ sets, street food, free activities for kids (including magic tricks shows and face painting), a Drink & Draw event organised by Illustradays, the first illustration festival of Greece, and , if you’re feeling lucky, a very special Christmas raffle. 

It’s the perfect deal: In one go, you can do your Christmas gift shopping, sip on glühwein - you get a complimentary cup on weekdays - and keep the kids entertained. 

While in Kerameikos, make sure to pass by Santa’s Factory at the Technopolis and you’re set for a full day of family fun.
