Acropolis Museum: A Museum Open to All
Athens’ flagship museum is reaching out to local migrants and refuges with different cultural backstories, as part of this year’s European Days Of Cultural Heritage programme.
Under "A museum open to all", participants who have made the Greek capital their home will get to know our Sacred Rock and its defining moments of human history with the help of a museum archaeologist. The goal is to nurture their familiarity with the history and culture of their host country and to contribute to social integration.
The one-hour immersions will take place four times a day over the three day event (with space for 20 visitors per presentation, including escorts and translators). To be eligible, you’ll need to email your request by Friday, 17 September to: [email protected] or phone 9000 900 (ext. 414). Throughout those days, the Acropolis Museum’s regular themed tours will take place as usual (in Greek and English):
