Nikos Papadopoulos: Particle Garden
After the transformation of the Athens Concert Hall’s Service Courtyard into a permanent art exhibition space called annexM—an initiative by art historian Anna Kafetsi—it quickly became a favourite art spot for the local connoisseurs.
The latest exhibition at annexM invites visitors to a space filled with larger-than-life sculptures, mesmerising visual installations and sections of intricate drawings on Lokta paper. This is the intriguing world of visual artist Nikos Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos drew his inspiration from his research residency at CERN in Geneva, where he explored the world of particle physics. His Particle Garden blurs the lines between art and science, sparking conversations and connections between the two different fields. Visitors are invited to contemplate the mysteries of the universe and marvel at human creativity through participatory performances, immersive soundscapes and video projections.
*On 25/03, 02-07/05 & 24/06 the exhibition will remain closed.
