Athens Open Air Film Festival: Christmas Edition
Athenians are known to love open-air venues, especially summer cinemas. And, since summer in Athens only ever simply pauses for three months, we wonder why we haven't thought of this before: outdoor film screenings in wintertime. Fortunately, the Athens Municipality and the crowd-favourite Athens Open Air Film Festival were way ahead of us. This Christmas season, the Thissio pedestrian walk at Ermou & Agion Asomaton Streets will become the city's cheeriest outdoor cinema. Three all-time classics will be screened for free against the world's most emblematic background: the Acropolis. There will be outdoor heaters and blankets to ward off the chill, along with warm beverages—afterwards, the blankets will be distributed by the Municipality to vulnerable social groups.
- 27/12: The Nightmare Before Christmas
- 28/12: Edward Scissorhands
- 29/12: Who Framed Roger Rabbit
