Orchestra Baobab at Megaron

Orchestra Baobab have been preaching their Afro-Cuban fusion gospel to the world since the 1970s. Like the sacred baobab tree of the African savannah, the ensemble has proved its endurance having seen numerous reincarnations, with each era marking different approaches to the rich pool of West African and Latin musical traditions. The Athens Concert Hall brings the Senegalese band to Athens for one evening of uplifting tunes, strumming chords, and lofty vocals. Our only wish is that Megaron had a dance floor.
