Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France
The Athens Concert Hall presents an evening of classical magic mixing French and Russian musical masterpieces, featuring iconic works by leading composers from both countries. Finnish conductor Mikko Franck has been music director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France since 2015, the world famous ensemble that has been at the forefront of classical music since 1937. Always up to the challenge of freshening things up, he is now ready to capture the hearts of Athenians. He is joined by the piano master Jean-Yves Thibaudet, who plays Ravel, as well as the Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang, who showcases her skills with Shostakovich.
