Pasion de Buena Vista

Do your spirits always flag in January? This could be just the cure. Banish the blues with a red-hot evening of Latino rhythms, powerhouse vocals and saucy moves as the Pasion de Buena Vista live experience blows in from Cuba. Forty musicians, singers and dancers will conjure the streets of Havana on the Galatsi Christmas Theater Stage to the beat of recognisable tunes like Guantanamera, Besame Mucho and El Cuarto de Tula. This soulful folk genre was invented by the sugar farmers and labourers of Santiago, Cuba, in the 1920s. Bass, bongos and trumpets were layered on top to create the infectious expression of passion and joy enjoyed by so many around the world today.
