Piano Festival at the Greek National Opera
Is there anyone out there who doesn’t get swept away by the sound of piano music filling up a beautiful venue? The “king of instruments” takes over the dramatic scarlet space of the SNFCC’s Main Hall and its intimate Alternative Stage with the return of the Greek National Opera’s annual Piano Festival. This year’s programme shoots straight to the heart of the piano canon: Romanticism. Hear five recitals of world-class celebrated pianists and enjoy a marathon of three of the most popular concertos for piano and orchestra of the Romantic period (Tchaikovsky’s 1st, Rachmaninov’s 2nd, and Brahms’ 1st).
