Ross Daly Live at the Acropolis
It's been 40 years since Ross Daly founded his Labyrinth Musical Workshop. That's 40 years of defining and expanding the boundaries of modal and traditional music, while working with some of the greatest teachers of the genres from around the world. Based in Crete for half of his lifetime, this 70-year-old composer and originator of the term Contemporary Modal music, is a guest of the Athens Epidaurus Festival for one night at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Famed Cretan singer Vassilis Stavrakakis and percussionist Bijan Chemirani will accompany Daly on the Herodion stage, along with a company of Cretan artists and a group of excellent musicians and Labyrinth students, for a journey from West Africa to Mongolia. As if the location itself wasn't impressive enough.
