Sammy Baloji: Echoes of History, Shadows of Progress
A first for Greece, this solo exhibition by renowned artist Sammy Baloji brings together over two decades of work exploring cultural identity, colonial history, and the exploitation of natural resources in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Through installations, video works, and photography—spanning the last 13 years and including a new piece created for this show—Baloji offers a powerful reflection on the legacy of colonialism and the ongoing impact of extractive industries in postcolonial societies.
