Frank Sinatra and Friends
Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
In the Sixties, they were a partnership as mighty as The Avengers. And when this untouchable trio shared the stage and sang; improvised and joked; at the legendary clubs of Las Vegas (and later, the big concert venues); their combined star wattage could have powered Thor’s hammer.
At the centre of it all was Sinatra. That Voice singing Those Songs: "Strangers in the Night", "Fly me to the Moon", "That's Amore", "I've got you under my skin" – and of course, "My Way".
The original cast of the West End hit "Frank Sinatra and Friends" - which debuted back in 2015 to mark the 100th anniversary of Sinatra’s birth - slinks into Athens in late November for a single performance to resurrect the legendary Rat Pack for millennial ears. Whether you are old enough to remember Ol’ Blue Eyes in his heyday – or you are a sucker for Sixties nostalgia (guilty) - this big-hearted musical tribute sounds like a wonderful way to usher in the 2021 Christmas season or simply banish the blues.
