This is Athens - City Festival is back for its third edition this May with free admission*. The biggest annual spring festival in the Greek capital will take place throughout May and will even be stealing a few days from June. You see, this year's programme proved to be so packed, we couldn't possibly squeeze it into just 31 days. Thoroughly designed with a sustainable mindset, the festival’s rich agenda includes more than 250 events that will take place all over Athens in more diverse areas than ever before. Are you a wine connoisseur? Do you only crack open fine vintages and know all there is to know about serving temperatures and the like? Then this one's for you. Head over to the Kypseli Municipal Market, pick up a tasting glass and you're ready for a day of wine tasting. Savour Greek and international varieties from a fantastic range of wineries. The best part? You can try as much as you like. We hear there's also a competition, judges and all, so as well as your own private drinking game, you can see if your favourite label of the day wins any prizes.
